Little Man Conversations

As we are driving in the car we drive by some cows.

Connor: "Mommy can we get a cow at home?"
Mommy: "If we had a cow in the backyard it would eat all the grass and then you couldn't play out back anymore."
Connor: Silent for a moment. "then can we get a cow and keep it in the house."
Mommy: "Nooo! That would be stinky!"
Connor: Laughs. "Mommy, you are funny!"
Mommy:"Your funny Connor."
Connor: "No I'm not, you are funny."

Puppy Dog Faces

Little Man Conversations - Part 2

We have always told Connor that he needs to eat his food so he can be big and strong. It works. And these days he says he is super fast and no one is as fast as him. Yesterday we went to Chick-fil-a and there was a rather big boy that he was playing with. The boy was probably 6 but he was huge! Connor had 2 chicken nuggets left that he hadn't eaten before he went to play. Out of no where Connor comes running out of the play area telling me, "Quick, I need to eat my chicken so I can be fast and big like him (pointing to the boy)." He then proceeded to scarf the last two nuggets down and ran back into to play. It is amazing to see how innocent kids truely are. They take everything so literally because they don't know any different. Oh how I wish taking two bites of salad could really make me tall and thin!

Little Man Conversations

Connor to Hudson as he is about to shove his knuckle into his mouth:

"Look at me. I need you to focus. Eat my finger."

Need I say anything else???

And here is Connor with his baby brother and Cade. Connor is a very proud big brother and very loving with babies!

The things kids say

This morning as Connor was heading out the door to go to daycare to see his friends I told him to have fun. His response was "Have fun at home." How funny!

At Home

I have had to come up with new ideas to keep Connor occupied at home all day. He is always on the go and has a hard time just hanging out at home. The other day I gave him a suprise as he likes to call it, or a "sprise". Here he is playing with his Ants in the Pants game.

After leaving Connor alone for a few minutes to play by himself, he called me to show me what he did. I can not remember what he called it but look...

Now look closely. So typical of Connor. There are 16 ants and he neatly stacked 8 sets of two ants.

It is tough to get Connor to nap while at home, but this day I managed to get him to nap!

AND Hudson took a nap too. Which means I got a nap!
