Connor's Ear Tube Surgery

After dropping the baby off at daycare we arrived at Texas Children's Hospital about 9:15. For 4+ hours it went something like this:
check-in.
wait.
name called - sign papers & pay (they always want money first).
wait.
name called - check weight & blood pressure, get wrist band.
wait.
name called - check heart rate & nose, make sure healthy.
wait.
wait.
wait some more.
name called - move to pre-op, change into pajamas.
wait.
play with toys.
wait.
wait.

meet with Anesthesia Doc.
meet with Dr. D who is performing surgery.
wait.
12:15ish...Connor finally takes his wagon ride to the OR.
30 minutes or more later we get to see him.
he is still sleeping.
15 minutes passes.
the nurse begins to take his leads off to try and wake him.
it works.
he wakes up tired, but not grouchy!
drinks juice.
pukes.
gets meds.
rests.
drinks juice.
pukes.
talk with doctor.
go home.
sleeps.
Connor slept for about 3 hours and then felt better. He ate pizza for dinner and then started running a fever! His surgery went well. Dr. D went ahead and checked his nose and vacuumed out what was in there. Prescribed antibiotics, etc. I hope both tubes last 2 years this time around.
My little boy was a champ. I am so proud and was expecting a grouchy little boy. But that is not what we got...we got sweet Connor all day long! Mommy loves you Connor!
